Description Each triangle breath has the same count pattern and visualization. After practicing with the videos below, the eyes are closed.
Visualization After some training, one can do the exercise listening to the animation with eyes closed and mentally trace the luminous lines of the triangle in front of the bridge of the nose.
Repetitions The count pattern is 3 repetitions of four, then of five, then of 6.
Downward - Jelal
Attunement: Energy Begin with the left nostril
Focussing upon the triangle shape pointed downwards, while tracing with the sight the lines of the triangle, starting on the left side, one absorbs Divine Energy, which then shines within during the retention of the breath; then on the outgoing breath through the right nostril the Jelal condition is experienced. This practice offers various levels of spiritual inspiration.
Downward - Jelal
Attunement: Energy
Begin with the left nostril.
Downward - Jemal
Attunement: Inspiration Begin with the right nostril
When inhaling through the right nostril, absorbing divine energy, and exhaling through the left nostril, it is the Jemal condition which is experienced.
This practice also offers levels of spiritual inspiration.
Downward - Jemal
Attunement: Inspiration
Begin with the right nostril.
Upward - Jelal
Attunement: Human Will Power Begin with the left nostril
During this practice the breath is held out instead of in.
Inhaling through the left nostril and exhaling through the right nostril, one then holds out (the opposite of retention), thus inducing a Jelal experience.
Upward - Jelal
Attunement: Human will power
Begin with the left nostril.
Upward - Jemal
Attunement: Divine Will Power (Love) Begin with the right nostril
Similarly inhaling through the right and exhaling through the left nostril, and holding out, induces a Jamal experience.
The downward triangle practice develop will power, inasmuch as mastery over the want to "be" is obtained in the absence of the incoming breath, from which it becomes obvious that the "willpower" is of Divine origin, whereas the "want" - which is of human nature - is the energy of the ego.
Upward - Jemal
Attunement: Divine will power (love)
Begin with the right nostril.
